Our guidelines and conditions
We commit to running the course you have registered for, at the agreed time and in the quality described in accordance with European Paddle Pass (EPP).
We can accommodate a maximum of 10 participants in each course / trip, so be quick to book the weekend you want.
We reserve the right to cancel courses if there are fewer than 4 registered students. Registrants will then be offered a new course and can choose from all available courses.
We provide all necessary equipment, such as kayaks, splash covers, oars, floats, etc.
To participate in our courses, you must be at least 13 years of age, be between 40 and 115 kg (because of the kayak’s capacity) and be able to swim.
It is important that you show up on time. If you arrive late you are responsible for familiarizing yourself with the information already provided before you can join the group on the water.
You are responsible for being physically and mentally fit to participate in the course, and you are responsible for any injuries / illnesses that might occur during, or as a result of your participation in a kayak course with us.
You will be sent a packing list of things that you are responsible for bringing with you to the course. Camp Vika is not responsible for any damage, wear or loss of your belongings.
Please note: We recommend leaving valuables such as watches and jewelry at home during the weekend of the course, as such things can easily end up in the lake.
If you cancel due to illness, you will need to send us an illness notification via mail (so we will receive it in writing), and you will then have the opportunity to join a later course. The course fee will therefore generally not be refunded.
The participant is fully responsible for any destruction or damage of equipment and/or inventory, whether intentional or accidental, and costs will be billed to the participant afterwards.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to the purchase of tickets or other fixed benefits (cf. the Norwegian Right of Cancellation Act §19b).
Within one working day after your registration has been received by us, you will receive an invoice to the e-mail address you provided. The registration is binding, regardless of whether the invoice is paid or not.
If you need special arrangements or accommodations due to any special needs, we are happy to welcome everyone, but are limited by having to consider safety first and foremost. Contact us and we will discuss possible options.
If you have special needs / wishes for the food we serve, we will try to accommodate as much as possible. We provide a vegetarian menu for those who request that with your registration, but unfortunately we do not offer a vegan menu option. For other food allergies; send us a medical certificate and we will see if we can meet your needs.
